Paintings as Textile Designs

My original arts training back in the late 1980's was in textile design, pre computer aided design, so very old school. I am thankful for that grounding, and my specialism of silk screen printing, but today I am amazed at just what can be printed digitally on fabrics of all descriptions.

This week I entered a competition. Pillowfight is an online competition, view my four entries here. Anyone can buy my designs as pillows as well, and I am having a GIVEAWAY.

One of these cushions will be given away!
To go into the draw to win a cushion just mention which is your favourite, the image with most votes will be given away to anyone who've left a comment either on this blog post, or on my facebook page.
Winner announced on EsteMacLeodBlogspot on 1 December 9pm.
A Colourful day.

  1. I just adore your paintings and always wish I could reproduce them as felt panels..but obviously I wouldn't, even if I could. You never cease to inspire though with your colour combinations. I love all your designs but I think summertime is the best.. (I didn't come here for the giveaway but now I'm here I would love to win one!)

  2. They are equal in beauty and design elements. Tough to make a choice because the all the designs lend themselves to great pillow covers. So, after going back and forth, "A Bit of Magic" speaks loudest to me. Good luck in the competition!

  8. (I'm writing this comment again from memory because when I pressed 'Publish' it disappeared! If it appears twice, I apologise!) I find it hard to choose only one because all of them are... out of this world! If I must, I think I'm inclined to choose 'Summertime' but I cannot explain why... It may be the choice of colours, the shape of the flowers... and the promise of summer! I LOVE your work! Magda from Argentina
